Effective Date: January 13, 2026
PART 1: PRIVACY POLICY
At CycleWise, we operate under a "Zero-Knowledge" philosophy. We believe that your menstrual health data is the most personal information you possess, and our technology is built to ensure it stays that way.
1. The Principle of Data Autonomy (Local Processing)
CycleWise is a menstrual cycle tracking and prediction utility.
Local Residency: All health-related data you input—including cycle dates, symptoms, moods, and notes—is processed and stored exclusively on your mobile device.
No Cloud Infrastructure: We do not utilize cloud servers to store your health records. We do not have access to your calendar, your symptoms, or your identity.
Device Security: Your data's safety is tied to your device. We recommend using your phone's built-in encryption and biometric locks to protect the local CycleWise database.
2. Third-Party Integrations and Technical Telemetry
While your health data never leaves your phone, we use limited third-party tools to maintain the app's stability and measure our growth.
Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for crash analytics and performance monitoring. If the app encounters a bug, a technical log (e.g., your device model and OS version) is sent to us so we can fix it.
Attribution & Analytics (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These tools help us understand which marketing campaigns lead to new users. They process pseudonymized technical identifiers, such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).
Strict Boundary: None of these third-party platforms have access to your cycle history or any health-related data. They only "see" that the app was opened or that a technical error occurred.
3. Legal Grounds for Processing
We process information under the following legal frameworks:
Contractual Fulfillment: Local processing of your data is necessary to provide the tracking and prediction service you have requested.
Legitimate Interests: We process pseudonymized technical IDs to improve app performance, troubleshoot crashes, and evaluate our marketing reach.
4. Your Fundamental Rights
We grant the following rights to all users globally:
Right of Access: You have the right to request a summary of the data we process. Since health data is local, you can view it all within the app history. For technical logs, you may contact our DPO.
Right to Rectification: You can correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data. You have full control to edit or update your cycle history directly within the app at any time.
Right to Erasure (Deletion): You can request the deletion of your data. Deleting the CycleWise app from your device permanently wipes the local database. For any technical logs held by partners, our DPO can assist in the deletion process.
Right to Information on Sharing: You have the right to know if your data is shared. CycleWise only shares non-identifiable technical metadata with the operational partners listed in Section 2.
Right to Know About Sales: You have the right to know if your data is sold. CycleWise does not, and will never, sell your personal or health data to any third party.
5. Opting Out of Data Sharing
You have the power to limit technical data sharing:
Operating System Controls: You can disable tracking by selecting "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) in your phone’s system settings.
Permission Management: You can revoke any granted permissions (like notifications) at any time through your device’s application settings.
6. Data Retention Schedules
Health Data: This is retained on your device for as long as the app is installed. We have no "backup" on our end; if you lose your phone or delete the app, the data is removed.
Technical Telemetry: Data processed by third-party partners is retained for the minimum period required for aggregate performance analysis—typically 12 to 24 months—before being deleted or fully anonymized.
7. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
We have appointed a dedicated officer to manage our privacy compliance and protect your rights.
DPO Name: Julianne Vane
Contact Email: elasticityuptime@gmail.com
8. Regulatory Recourse
You have the right to lodge a formal complaint with a data protection authority or a relevant regulatory body in your jurisdiction if you believe our data handling violates your privacy rights.
PART 2: END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
1. Grant of License
CycleWise grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the software on your mobile device for personal, non-commercial menstrual health tracking, subject to the terms of this Agreement.
2. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER (IMPORTANT)
CycleWise is NOT a medical device. The predictions and insights provided are based on statistical averages and your personal inputs. They are for informational purposes only and should not be used for medical diagnosis, contraception, or to achieve pregnancy. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concerns or reproductive decisions.
3. Prohibited Usage
You agree not to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app’s prediction algorithms.
Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the software.
4. Intellectual Property
The CycleWise name, branding, original content, and proprietary algorithms are the exclusive property of the developer. This license does not grant you any ownership rights.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CycleWise and its affiliates shall not be liable for any damages (including health-related issues, data loss, or device failure) resulting from your use of the application. The app is provided "AS IS."
6. Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated by you (by deleting the app) or by us. We reserve the right to revoke your license immediately if you violate any of the terms outlined in this EULA.
